Synergy - a Collaborative Communty Tapestry

As part of the biennial See Change Winter Arts Festival in Jervis Bay NSW I am currently part of a collaboration between year 4,5 & 6 students of Jervis Bay School, Denise Stevens, myself and members of the community. The students made individual paintings which we made into a collage design for the weaving of the tapestry. Denise and I have been weaving on it since 16 May with some visitors adding their parts. The students will be visiting the Lady Denman Heritage Complex, Huskisson, NSW, soon to see the progress and add to it.

Design for tapestry and weaving progress a few days ago.
