March Tapestry of the 2013 Tapestry Diary

Here is the March month of my 2013 'Colours of my Year' Tapestry diary for 2013. It is the end of the 1st quarter of the year. Images are based on one or more colours that take my eye on each day of the month. They may be totally
abstract, or an image such as the ray. The dark squares at the top fill in the extra days not needed.

February Tapestry of 2013 Diary

Second month of the tapestry diary finished some time ago but just being posted. March will be posted soon. Lots of different things to weave - colours, shapes, textures, techniques - anything that inspires. I am finding I am getting ideas for tapestries from this exercise.

My 2013 Tapestry Diary

Not only have I been inspired by several people to weave a tapestry diary but I wanted to keep myself weaving on a regular basis and not for a specific project which had a deadline.
I decided to weave small squares on the theme 'Colours of my Year' - weaving 1 or more colours that caught my eye during each day. I record these in a notebook and weave on that day or the next morning. Sometimes I get behind but then weave to catch up but these are my rules so I can. I weave the days and then have a dark gray square to divide the months. This is my first which I enjoyed weaving immensely.

I don't seem to be getting on with this blog but 1 new year resolution is to keep it up.
