February Tapestry of 2013 Diary

Second month of the tapestry diary finished some time ago but just being posted. March will be posted soon. Lots of different things to weave - colours, shapes, textures, techniques - anything that inspires. I am finding I am getting ideas for tapestries from this exercise.

My 2013 Tapestry Diary

Not only have I been inspired by several people to weave a tapestry diary but I wanted to keep myself weaving on a regular basis and not for a specific project which had a deadline.
I decided to weave small squares on the theme 'Colours of my Year' - weaving 1 or more colours that caught my eye during each day. I record these in a notebook and weave on that day or the next morning. Sometimes I get behind but then weave to catch up but these are my rules so I can. I weave the days and then have a dark gray square to divide the months. This is my first which I enjoyed weaving immensely.
